Bellbird Heights is a small suburban town located
in the local government area of the
Cessnock City Council in the state of New South
Wales. Bellbird Heights is generally a
rural and residential community. It was in the late
1800s when settlers began to occupy the region.
The establishment of two coal mines in the early
1900s led to a substantial development in the
suburb. Bellbird Heights is part of the Bellbird-
Bellbird Heights region, which has some major
features such as the Carmichael Park and a
school. Some of the
common businesses and services in Bellbird
Heights and surrounding areas include child care
centres, bakeries, real estate agencies, community
centres, motels, pharmacies, supermarket and
grocery stores, services stations, bowling clubs and
cafés.
